Baltimore Regionals Underway as Frankfurt and Brisbane Prepare for September 26–27

Three Regional Championships land within the same week, keeping the competitive calendar packed through the end of September.

The 2027 Pokémon Regional Championship circuit is in full swing this weekend, with Baltimore kicking off a stretch of back-to-back events that runs through late September. Two more Regionals follow one week later on opposite sides of the globe.

Baltimore Opens the Run

The 2027 Baltimore Pokémon Regional Championships are running September 18–20 in Baltimore, MD. As one of the larger stops on the North American leg of the season, Baltimore draws a broad field of players and tends to surface deck trends that echo through subsequent events. Results from this weekend will give competitors preparing for the following weekend a concrete look at what is being played at a high level.

Frankfurt and Brisbane Up Next

On September 26–27, two Regionals run simultaneously. The 2027 Frankfurt Pokémon Regional Championships take place in Frankfurt am Main, covering the European competitive scene, while the 2027 Brisbane Pokémon Regional Championships run the same weekend in South Brisbane, representing one of the prominent stops on the Oceania circuit.

Having Frankfurt and Brisbane overlap means the weekend will generate results from two distinct regional metas at once. Cards that perform well across both events — separated by time zone, player base, and local metagame development — tend to attract collector and player attention in the days that follow.

Why the Calendar Compression Matters

Three Regionals within roughly ten days creates a condensed window of competitive data. For collectors tracking card prices on the secondary market, Regional weekends are relevant because strong tournament finishes can shift demand quickly. A card that sees heavy play across Baltimore, Frankfurt, and Brisbane in the same week tends to draw more attention than a single-event spike.

What remains unknown at this stage is the field composition and top-cut results for any of these three events, including Baltimore, which is still in progress. Deck lists and placement data will become available as each event concludes.

Full dates and locations for all three events are listed on the events calendar.
