Refunds & Disputes

Refunds are always in full. If a shop won't resolve an issue, we will.

Who You're Buying From

Cards on GrailGauge are sold by independent partner shops — real local card stores. The shop owns the listing, the card, and the sale. GrailGauge runs the checkout (payments are processed by Stripe), routes the money to the shop, and keeps a small marketplace fee. Your receipt comes from Stripe; your card comes from the shop.

Refunds

Refund requests go to the shop, and shops issue refunds through their GrailGauge dashboard. A refund is always for the full amount you paid — card, shipping, and tax — back to your original payment method. When a shop refunds you, GrailGauge returns its fee too; nobody keeps a cut of a refunded sale. If a card arrives materially different from its listed condition, or doesn't arrive at all, contact the shop first — every order page names the shop and links to its page.

Cancellations

Before payment settles, you can simply walk away from checkout — holds release automatically and nothing is charged. Reservations (pay-at-the-shop holds) can be canceled by the shop at any time, and unclaimed reservations may be canceled and restocked at the shop's discretion. Once an order is paid, cancellation is handled as a refund (above).

Pickup and Reservations

Pickup orders are paid online and collected at the shop's counter. Reservations are free holds — no money moves through GrailGauge; you pay the shop directly when you collect, and the shop's own store policies apply to that payment. Bring the order page on your phone; the shop sees the same order on its side.

Disputes

If you and a shop can't resolve an issue, email support@grailgauge.gg with your order link and we'll mediate. You always retain the protections of your card issuer, and Stripe's dispute process, for any charge. Shops with a pattern of unresolved disputes are removed from the marketplace.

Taxes

Where sales tax applies, it's calculated and shown at payment before you confirm. Reservations are paid at the shop, so the shop's own point-of-sale handles any tax on those.
